Treat yourself to a thrilling morning aboard a comfortable catamaran, heading out to meet the wild dolphins of Martinique. This half-day excursion, ideal for travelers with busy schedules or families with children, takes you to explore the waters of the island’s northwest, where cetaceans roam freely.

At dawn, you will sail off the coast in search of groups of dolphins, often visible near the Îlet la Perle nature reserve. Observing these majestic animals in their natural habitat, without any artificial aids, is a rare and unforgettable experience.

The trip also includes a stop for swimming in a sheltered cove, where you can relax and admire the seabed with a mask and snorkel. A ti-punch and some local delicacies complete this moment of escape at sea, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Departure of the boat excursion from the private pontoon of the Carayou Hotel at Pointe du Bout in Trois-Ilets, Martinique.

Program

Embark on a morning trip aboard one of our comfortable and spacious sailing catamarans, specially designed to safely accommodate the whole family, and sail along the magnificent landscapes of Martinique’s Caribbean coast.

Then you’ll set off in search of dolphins.

Our professional crew, specially trained in responsible dolphin watching*, will provide you with explanations about the different species observed.

As the dolphins* are in their natural environment, sightings cannot be guaranteed, but they are present in 95% of our trips.

Swimming in a sheltered and peaceful cove

We will then offer you a swim stop in a quiet cove. If the time spent searching for dolphins is longer than usual, we may have to cancel the swim, as dolphin watching is the priority of this excursion. Bring your masks and snorkels to admire the magnificent coral reefs (accessible to all). Swimming is optional and is done at your own risk. KATA MAMBO only provides safety equipment, such as life jackets, floats, and buoys. Swimmers agree to follow the safety instructions given by the crew before entering the water.

Please note that swimming takes place in the immediate vicinity of the boat.

Drinks will be available throughout the half-day excursion. A snack will also be served during the excursion.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the presence of dolphins, even though they are seen on 95% of trips. Our professional crew is trained in responsible marine mammal observation.

If the time spent searching for dolphins is longer than usual, we may have to cancel the swimming break, as dolphin watching is the priority for this half-day trip.
